96PATRISTICLay outwards on straightening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to have returned with an elevated heart rate. Trainer will have the gelding undergo a full veterinary examination and additionally it will continue its preparation in the North West.
28NATIONAL GUARD (USA)Held up from on straightening until taken outwards to obtain clear running approaching the 200m. Rider advised the gelding returned with its tongue over the bit. Trainer advised that he would place add a tongue restraint to its gear for future starts. Rider was interviewed in regard to his riding tactics approaching and rounding the home turn (refer Stewards Summary Report).
