33KASONORIMis-strode near the 1400m, becoming unbalanced. Trainer later advised the gelding sustained a fracture to its near hind fibula and tibia in stable mishap and would now be sent for a lengthy spell. Trainer was advised the gelding would require a veterinary clearance and must trial prior to racing again.
25LADY OF BABYLONCommenced fairly.
96ROGUES POINTCommenced awkwardly. Lay inwards in the straight.
57CONSTANT DREAMINGRider explained that he was asked to ride the filly conservatively from a wide barrier, however after beginning well he settled in advance of midfield. He said that when caught wide early, although there was an opportunity to follow another runner across which improved to lead from his outside passing the 1400m, he believed that this would be contrary to the filly's preferred positioning and consequently he was obliged to travel wide and without cover throughout the event and added that the filly is better suited when able to settle further back in the field than today.
108APACHE RABBITLay inwards in the straight.
710BELAFONTE BOYRaced keenly through the early and middle stages.
