32COTEHELE (NZ)In the early stages of the straight laid in and bumped on several occasions. When questioned re performance, rdr explained the colt never travelled comfortably at any stage and he believed that the heavy track conditions was the principal reason for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
44MIHOCEKBumped on jumping. Laid out rounding the home turn and then in the early stages of the straight was bumped on several occasions.
55CELTIC HARPRdr reported that after beginning awkwardly he was obliged to settle further back than anticipated. He added that after obtaining a position at the rear of the field his mnt commenced to race fiercely and as a result he was obliged to shift wider to avoid heels. He added that after allowing his mnt to improve forward, the colt, which was having its first race start today over 1400m, then was left without a finishing effort and when it became clear that the colt was not handling the track conditions and he was going to be unable to improve his position, he desisted from riding his mnt out.
17DARK REBELBegan awkwardly.
68KOONDEEMANBegan awkwardly, shifted out and made contact. Rdr std that in his opinion the gelding failed to handle today’s heavy track conditions and this was the principal reason for the disappointing performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Co-trainer agreed with the views of rdr and advised that the stable’s intention is to send the gelding for an immediate spell. Co-trainer was advised that the gelding would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to being permitted to race again.
29MAURICE'S CHOICEBegan awkwardly, shifted out and bumped.
10HOPE IN YOUR HEARTTrnr advised scr due to tying up. Has pleased in work since and satisfactory blood results.
