31MUBARIZ (GB)Underwent a vet exam upon arrival on course after the gelding was reported to have sustained an abrasion to its left hip on 3/5/21 and was deemed suitable to race. After beginning only fairly shifted in and made contact with another rnr.
23GEMMAHRAOn jumping, made contact with the outside barrier partition.
84LA JOLIE FILLEBlundered near the 1200m. Approaching the 250m was checked when crowded for room.
45KUTAYHA (NZ)When questioned re ride from the 500m & why he did not shift out to follow rnr commencing fwd move, rdr std his assessment of races today indicated horses were advantaged by making runs closer to the inside. Std with mnt being first up today, he felt it would not have been in its best interests to make a sustained run wide on the track, but felt it was preferable to remain closer to inside & obtain a run on straightening. Added after shifting out to improve on home turn, he was forced to check at entrance of straight, but once clear near the 250m his mnt closed off race strongly.
19MEDIA STARGUESTA short distance after the start was hampered when racing tight to the inside of runner and as a consequence was then shifted behind runners in the early stages.
710SALLY POPSRider permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. Rdr reported mnt raced keenly in the early stages and this, in his view, impacted on the filly's finishing effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame (2/5) in front. Trainer was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the filly barrier trialling/racing again.
911NOTABADHARADA (NZ)Rider reprimanded for the angle at which he permitted his mount to shift in soon after the start resulting in mnt striking the running rail.
612RULES DON'T APPLYBegan only fairly. Blundered approaching the 1200m.
