Stewards Comments

Pl#HorseComment
22FIRST LAW (NZ)Inclined to shift ground outwards over the final 100m. Rider advised that it was not his intention to race prominently but after beginning well, he elected to improve rather than being caught wide. See Stewards Summary.
84DIABLERIEImproved onto heels and steadied outwards passing the 800m. A post race veterinary examination revealed a mildly elevated heart rate. Trainer was of the opinion the gelding may have been unsuited to todays track conditions and advised she would have it undergo an endoscopic examination and advise Stewards of any abnormalities. Trainer later advised that the endoscopic examination revealed no abnormalities.
95MASTERINGSlow into stride, losing 1L. Impeded for a short distance on straightening and angled inwards. Rider said that the horse was under pressure for the majority of the race, failed to respond and was one paced in the home straight. Trainer advised that the gelding has been somewhat disappointing this preparation and he undertook to provide the Stewards with the results of a veterinary & endoscopic examination. Trainer later advised that a subsequent veterinary and endoscopic examination did not reveal any abnormalities,.
710I'M ICEYRaced keenly through the early and middle stages and steadied approaching the 700m.
511DOLLY EMLay outwards in the straight.
