18CHOOSE FREEDOMFractious in the barrier. Slow to begin losing 1L. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have sustained an abrasion to its chest. With regard to the apparent improved performance, when questioned, trainer was of the opinion that the increase in distance and the removal of visors had been been beneficial and that the gelding would start over a similar distance going forward if available.
