61SASSY TRADERRider advised that the gelding commenced to lay outwards from on straightening until passing the 100m where it commenced to weaken. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding, which performed disappointingly after travelling keenly in the early and middle stages, revealed no abnormalities.
12ISEERED ISEEREDHeld up until the 250m.
53ISLAND CHARMFrom a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Commenced to lay outwards from the 600m and raced wide thereafter. In the straight continued to lay out and proved difficult to be placed under pressure.
24MERCANTO (NZ)Slow to begin, losing 1L. On straightening was steadied and shifted outwards to obtain clear running and in doing so made contact with another runner.
35STRATHMORE ROSEBegan only fairly and was bumped.
76GIANCANAA post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Rider advised that at no stage of the race did the filly travel strongly. Trainer S Miller advised that he would now re-instate the blinkers on the filly in an endeavour to improve its performance.
