Std manner which the filly raced gave impression may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Trainer advised that the filly had now been spelled.
127NEWSREADERCOT: To be ridden midfield with cover; settled midfield with cover. When qst re performance, rdr std mnt commenced to race keenly when rounding the first turn and had to be steadied from heels. Std continued to race keenly through middle stages and when brought to the outside on straightening failed to let down as anticipated and felt slightly awkward in its action. Added in his opinion the filly was not comfortable on the soft track conditions. A post-race vet exam rev the filly to be (1/5) lame in the off-fore leg. Tnr adv vet cert required prior to next race / trial.
