67HEAPS OF MOOLAHCast its off fore plate during the preliminary and it was re-fitted behind the barriers delaying the start. Raced greenly throughout and lay inwards in the straight.
98CLASSY MACRORider was interviewed in relation to her riding tactics of the gelding when challenging for the lead in the middle stages and she advised that after being caught wide early she allowed her mount to stride forward in an attempt to cross to the lead in the middle stages resulting in racing head to head with the leader. She further advised she was reluctant to ease her mount in the middle stages to prevent compaction to the remainder of the field. Rider was told that she erred in her tactics and should have steadied her mount to have it finish off the race as best as possible.
29I HOPE YOU DANCEChallenged by another runner when leading in the early and middle stages. Returned having cast an off hind plate and a sprung near hind plate and with abrasions to the near hind cannon.
1110OCEAN CANDYBucked for a short distance shortly after the start. Rider advised that due to this he got further back in the field than anticipated and was unable to make ground in the straight given the manner in which the race was run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
