92IN LOVE WITH PARISRider reported the gelding was under pressure prior to straightening and failed to run on strongly in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had quartered its near-fore heel. disappointing performance to the gelding being ridden along through the early stages to race outside the leader together with its increased weight impost and that it was a stronger field in comparison to its prior start in his opinion and that he would continue to monitor its training with a view to racing the gelding in a fortnight.
53JERAFTHeld up for clear running from on straightening and was steadied when attempting to improve into marginal running before getting clear shortly after. Rider was reminded of his obligations in ensuring there is sufficient room prior to attempting to obtain clear running in future.
84FINAL SALUTEA post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.Co-Trainer undertook to monitor the gelding’s recovery and report any abnormalities to the Stewards.Co-Trainer advised the gelding recovered with no abnormalities and it was now his intention to freshen the gelding by varying its training regime in an attempt to improve its performance.
5MAD BRADwas a late withdrawal by Stewards at 3.15pm when the gelding underwent a veterinary examination on arrival on course and was found to be lame in its near-fore. Co-Trainers were advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate of soundness prior to trialling or racing again.
36ONE SHORTRaced keenly through the early and middle stages. Impeded for clear running from on straightening until the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had returned with a laceration to the near fore pastern.
49REVEILLEMomentarily inconvenienced approaching the 100m.
111DOUBLE DIGITIn relation to the apparent improved performance, Trainer advised that the gelding had benefited from a more favourable barrier draw today as it was able to settle closer in the field as compared to its most recent starts where it had drawn wide and consequently raced in rearward positions and added that it had appreciated the reduction in distance and weight.
