4	1	TAXAGANO	Commenced awkwardly and was crowded shortly after the start. When attempting to shift outwards to improve its position approaching the 900m raced tightly with another runner for a short distance and was carried inwards. Held up for clear running from on straightening until passing the 100m and was impeded over the final stages. When questioned regarding the gelding settling in a rearward positions Apprentice advised he was instructed to settle his mount in a forward position, however after not beginning as well as anticipated he elected to allow his mount to settle in a midfield position
1	2	MISSILE LAUNCH	Raced wide for the majority of the event.
12	3	RIPPER RIO	Unable to obtain clear running for the entire length of the straight.
9	4	BASS STRAIT (NZ)	Impeded for clear running for the majority of the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with a small amount of blood in its near nostril and as the origin of the blood was from the naso-lacrimal duct (tear duct) no action was taken against the gelding.
2	7	ELEGANT BLAST	Commenced to race keenly for a short distance and was steadied when improving into restricted room between runners passing the 1600m. Raced tightly with another runner for a short distance approaching the 900m and shifted inwards.
6	8	ONE SHORT	Raced keenly through the middle stages when leading.
10	12	WONORG	Raced wide throughout. Rider reported the gelding lay inwards in the Straight.
