92AL DI LARider advised that the gelding raced in a flat manner throughout running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that blood specimens taken from the gelding revealed no abnormalities and it will now be given a let-up.
105SOLOMON CAINA post-race Veterinary examination of the gelding revealed an elevated heart rate and slow to recover.
36THUNDERSTRUTJockey D Staeck was questioned in relation the filly leading by a considerable margin through the middles stages. He advised that he was instructed to lead by Trainer Mr L Smith and after urging the filly along from its inside barrier to lead, it then commenced to race strongly and was striding comfortably within itself and in these circumstances he elected to allow the filly to continue to stride along hard against the bit rather than excessively restrain it as he felt that such an action would have been detrimental to its chances and he added that the filly finished off the race well in the
67KELLY'S GEMFractious leaving the mounting enclosure and was reluctant to proceed to the barriers.
48PICASSO BAYFractious in its barrier prior to the start. Trainer Mr S Rowe advised that the filly was later found to be shin sore and will now be sent for a spell.
