101THE CELTMomentarily impeded when in restricted room approaching the 250m and was disappointed for a clear run but then commenced to yield ground and failed to finish the race off. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer was of the opinion that the gelding may not have been suited to racing in consecutive weeks.
82STORED ENERGYRaced wide with cover.
123VEUVE DE VEGAA post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer undertook to monitor the gelding's recovery and report any abnormalities to the Stewards. Trainer advised that blood samples taken from the gelding revealed no abnormalities and he attributed the disappointing performance to it racing first up as it had performed in a similar manner when resuming from a spell at its previous preparation.
