34BOLD SUCCESS (NZ)Commenced awkwardly and bumped shortly after. Raced ungenerously in the early stages getting its head in the air on several occasions.
107EMMA'S CHILDRaced wide throughout.
79KINGDOM AND EMPIRESlow into stride losing one length.
110STORM DANCERTrainer advised that the gelding will be ridden on pace if possible and this information was disseminated. Lay inwards in the straight. Rider reported that although his mount had commenced well he was mindful that the gelding has a tendency to over-race therefore elected not to ride it along through the early stages to maintain his forward position. He further advised that several horses that had drawn wider than him had been ridden forward to take up forward positions which resulted in him being shuffled back through the field and racing further back than anticipated.
